Our Lean ISO 9001 process is unique in the industry. ISO 9001 does not require the 12 to 18 months it used to take for implementation. We used the principles of Lean Technologies to streamline our implementation process. In fact, if it weren’t for the registrar’s requirement to collect data for three months, we could have you certified in 45 days.
Since 1999, we have maintained a 100% first-time client success rate for certification, thanks to our lean implementation process and the hard work of our wonderful clients.
The certification process follows these steps:
- Implementation
- Stage 1 Audit (readiness check)
- Stage 2 Audit (Certification)
We handle the implementation step: our people work with your people to implement a quality management system built from your unique work processes.
The Stage 1 Audit is conducted by the qualified registrar of your choice. The registrar conducts a readiness audit to determine the level of compliance with the ISO 9001 requirements. Based on the results, we make the necessary adjustments to your system in preparation for the Stage 2 Audit, which typically occurs 5 to 30 days after the Stage 1 audit, depending on the registrar’s availability (90% of our clients would have passed the Stage 2 requirements during the Stage 1 audit, but the registrars aren’t allowed to do that. They have a process that they are required to follow).
Our implementation process for ISO 9001 is fast, simple, and cost-effective. Our unique approach takes you from Zero to Stage One Audit (first stage of certification) in 90 days.
Although you may use any registrar you like, we recommend SRI Quality System Registrar.* Even though ISO 9001 is a Quality System Standard, there is no standard of interpretation across the industry. Each registrar has its own approach to determining compliance. We have worked with many of the big registrars and have found SRI’s process to be the most practical.
We always guarantee certification the first time. Contact us to get started.
*Disclaimer: We do not get paid by SRI for recommending them. As stated, you may choose whichever registrar you like. But our attempt to standardize and streamline our own process has led us to prefer SRI over others in the industry.
